Creativity is at the heart of everything I do—whether designing engaging learning experiences, developing innovative instructional strategies, or finding new ways to make education more accessible and impactful.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and am currently obtaining my Master of Education - Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I have been an integral part in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) of numerous leadership development programs.
Prior to transitioning to instructional design, I was an Assistant Professor of Dance. I have taught at various universities, including Stephen F. Austin State University, North Carolina State University, Elon University, and the University of North Carolina Greensboro. At Stephen F. Austin State University, I was also a course designer transitioning in-person courses to online courses.
Twice, I have received the Award for Excellence in Online Course Design from Stephen F. Austin State University. Recognized for my excellence in the clarity of instructions, look and feel, ease of navigation, lesson design, accessibility, and innovation.
I have presented research nationally and internationally. My research focuses on dance injuries in collegiate dancers, along with their access to health care and self-efficacy. My choreography has also been presented at various festivals around the United States.
With my passion for education, creativity, and leadership, I look forward to embracing new challenges and opportunities to make a positive difference through my work.
